The Turboflotor 5000 Shorty skimmers can be fed water skimmed from the surface of your aquarium via a tee from your drain line. This is an ideal way to maximize the efficiency of the skimmer. A dedicate pump loop can be used instead, using an Oceanrunner 2500 to feed the skimmer from the sump.
